Referral Traffic
SocialToaster automatically adds UTM tags to links originating from the platform. If you are creating posts using content from your own site and have Google Analytics installed, you can see referral traffic data with no customization. The following UTM tag scheme is used by default:
- utm_campaign: Title of post
- utm_medium: email | facebook | x | linkedin
- utm_source: socialtoaster

User Session Tracking
If you are interested in the the analytics on how users interact directly with your SocialToaster program, you can attach your Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID in the SocialToaster dashboard under Configuration > Program Setup > Settings > Advanced. When configured, this will stream traffic data for users on the program site.
Cross Domain Tracking
If you are interested in tracking sessions across both SocialToaster and your own domains associated with your Measurement ID, you will need to ensure that cross domain tracking is enabled. To do that, you will need to add the SocialToaster domain my.socialtoaster.com to the list of domains enabled for your Analytics data stream. Follow the directions in the Google Analytics Help Article for updating your settings.
